Our youth companies are a project for young dancers with a passion for hip hop who want to explore performance and theatre. They aim to develop the skills of talented young people in terms of ability, technique and confidence to perform.

Our youngest company, Blueprint, is for dancers aged 7-9 years, while the Groundbreakers, is for dancers aged around 10-13 years, and our oldest company, Out of The Box, has dancers aged 14-18 years old. We hold annual self-tape auditions in June-July to join the Groundbreakers and Out of The Box, which anyone can apply to, and occasionally promising dancers are invited to audition for the company at other times. Blueprint dancers are selected by invite from our regular classes.

The companies have regularly performed at prominent events and theatre nights, including Ignite (2024 & 2025), Breakin' Convention (2017) and Breakin' Rules (2018, 2017), at the Active Schools Dance Extravaganza (2018), Leith Festival (2025, 2024, 2022, 2019), Meadows Festival (2025, 2024, 2022), the Scottish Parliament's 20th Birthday Celebration, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and many more!
